More about Carolyn
Carolyn graduated from Loughborough University Business School with a First-Class Honours degree and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments. She has worked in the industry for over twenty years, investing in a variety of assets for a diverse private client base, which includes trusts, charities, pensions and companies. During this time, she has developed strong relationships with IFAs, solicitors and accountants and is passionate about ensuring clients are offered a holistic and bespoke approach to their affairs. That she has brought many of these relationships with her to Charles Stanley amply demonstrates the trust and respect that clients and professionals have for her. Carolyn is a regular contributor to the business and finance pages of the Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Life.
Having retired as a trustee after nine years at Leeds Beckett University Students’ Union, Carolyn became a trustee at Leeds Community Foundation and the Chair of the Foundation’s Income Generation Committee in 2019, which provides valuable knowledge into the requirements of, and pressures on, the third sector. Outside of work, Carolyn is a keen runner and has raised money for various local and national charities by participating in sponsored running and walking events. Having recently tried open water swimming and cycling, she has concluded that she prefers activities where her feet are firmly on the ground!
