My day starts with…

A lively awakening from my youngest daughter who is always keen to get going! I work from home a couple of days a week, but on the office-commuting days, I take the opportunity to analyse the latest market developments and I also dial in to listen to the latest insights from Charles Stanley’s Research Team as I prioritise my list of tasks for the day ahead.

My favourite thing about Charles Stanley is…

My clients. There is nothing I enjoy more about my role than getting to know my clients’ goals and aspirations. Over time, this also includes the wider family and next generations.

The biggest misconception about Charles Stanley is…

That we only offer advice on investments. People don’t always realise the wider wealth management services we offer such as Financial Planning, Charles Stanley Direct, Asset Management, along with specialisms in Court of Protection.

The most important quality an Investment Manager needs is…

The ability to really listen to clients to fully understand their ambitions. I can easily construct an investment portfolio, but the most important part is making sure that the investments will precisely watch the needs and expectations of the client. In this, it is vital I understand their individual appetite for risk. In many cases, part of understanding more about my clients, means that I introduce them to colleagues with specialist expertise in wider financial planning.
