The United Nations (UN) says sustainable development must ‘meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.’ Our sustainable development research focuses on four themes that run across a selection of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Recognises that the health of people, animals and the wider environment are deeply connected.
Building peaceful, inclusive societies and providing access to justice for all.
Aims to develop the assured reliance, ability, strength and truthfulness of societies and cultures, committed to developing healthy, contingent futures for all.
Aims to ensure everyone, including marginalised groups, receive equal access to opportunities and resources.
Our article series explores how corporations, businesses, not-for-profit organisations and families can, and do, incorporate these goals into their practices.
Each of the four sustainable development goal shown above will be explored, although there are interconnections; from achieving Net Zero emissions, to defining and seeking justice across various imbalances in the world, including understanding and increasing financial inclusion.
