Bethan joined Charles Stanley in the summer of 2015 as an assistant to Christopher Morgan. She has over 10 years’ experience of working in the financial services sector, starting her career in mortgages and progressing on to a Financial Advisor firm. After trying life on the other side at a platform provider, Bethan has moved up to join the Charles Stanley team in a position where she can provide support directly to Investment Managers and their clients. Bethan has lived in Bath for over 14 years after graduating from Bath Spa University with a BSC in dance and business studies. She enjoys camping and outdoor sports, regardless of the weather!

Adam has been with Charles Stanley since 2002 following the acquistion of Torrie & Co in 1999. Adam joined Torrie in 1999 having previously worked at Bell Lawrie White following graduation from university in 1993. Adam manages investments for private individuals and their families, SIPPs, Charities, and Trusts. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and holds an MA in French and Business Studies from Edinburgh University. He lives near Edinburgh with his growing family of 3 children.

Ameeta joined Charles Stanley Financial Planning in January 2018. This role has been Ameeta’s first role within the Financial Services industry with her most recent previous role being within the Church of England. Ameeta has completed CII examinations; R01- Regulation & Ethics and R02 -Investment Principles & Risk and looks to continue to work towards her diploma in Financial Planning.

Grant joined Charles Stanley in 2014 having worked for over six years as a paraplanner and investment research officer for a small IFA in Edinburgh. Grant graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master of Science Degree in Economics and has a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in the same subject from the University of Stirling. Grant has attained the Chartered Wealth Manager qualification and primarily assists Christopher Clayhills-Henderson with the management of Advisory and Discretionary portfolios.

Phil has been with Charles Stanley since 2002 and was the Deputy Client Services Manager for the company’s online division before taking up the role as the Edinburgh Office Manager in September 2018. Phil graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 1997 after completing a Batchelor of Science Degree in Building Surveying and a Diploma in Project Management. He worked within the construction industry for several years before joining Charles Stanley. He is responsible for the smooth running of the Edinburgh office on a day to day basis along with dealing with staff matters. Phil also assists with the Branch’s Corporate Actions and is part of the team who deal with Execution Only clients.

Sarah has been with Charles Stanley since early 2018 and currently provides administrative support to Jon Curtis and Katie Presland. Previously Sarah started her financial career at Fidelity within their Investment Account and ISA team, swiftly moving to their pensions department. She has completed her first exam towards her Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) and outside of work enjoys going to the cinema, yoga and has a keen interest in photography.

Megan joined Charles Stanley in January 2016 as an Apprentice Administrator. She has completed her Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Business Administration exams and has now been appointed to the role of Investment Managers’ Assistant. She is continuing to further her studies. Outside of work, Megan enjoys travelling and spending time with friends and family.

After completing her Private Secretary’s Certificate at West Kent College in Kent, Della began her career in London before returning to Sussex to join a paper merchant’s in Lewes, where she worked as PA to the Managing Director for 20 years. Della joined the Charles Stanley Eastbourne Office in July 2012 as Branch Secretary. Outside of work, Della enjoys reading, dog walking and spending time with family and friends.

Edward manages investment portfolios for individuals and families, together with charities, trusts, companies and their pension funds. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and began his career in 1995 at NCL Investments in the City, which later merged in 2003 with Smith and Williamson. Having been with the firm for more than 10 years, Edward spent 3 years with Close Brothers before joining Charles Stanley in 2010. Edward lives in Gloucestershire and is married with twin daughters. He is a liveryman of the Drapers Company and a trustee of Barnwood Trust. Edward enjoys skiing, tennis, golf and cooking in his spare time. You may also spot him helping at his wife Helen’s business, William’s in Nailsworth, on Saturdays behind the fish slab.

Matthew began his stockbroking career in 1999 having graduated from University with a degree in Business & Finance. With more than 12 years at the Bournemouth Office of Charles Stanley, he has extensive experience managing discretionary and advisory portfolios for a wide range of private clients and charitable trusts. Matthew is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) having passed all relevant qualifications. He lives with his young family in Poole and when not at work, enjoys a diverse range of hobbies from skydiving to golf. However in more recent months he is far more likely to be found out in the fields trying to train his rather head strong pointer puppy!

Gary is a Politics graduate of Cardiff University and prior to co-launching the Cardiff Charles Stanley office, Gary was the Institutional Investment Specialist for Wales and the West within Barclays Wealth (formerly Gerrard) from 2007. He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute following completion of the full Securities Institute Diploma. Gary manages varying sizes of gross and tax exempt funds to specific mandates, risk profiles and income requirements, often within strict ethical screening criteria. He also manages bespoke discretionary portfolios on behalf of the professional services and IFA market in South Wales along with his colleagues in the office on very much a team based approach. Away from work Gary lives in Penarth and enjoys his passion for sport through coaching at Penarth RFC within the Mini & Junior section and it known to enjoy various endurance races including a number of mountain marathons and Ironman Triathlons.

Katie is a Senior Investment Manager in the Tunbridge Wells office and her career in the industry has spanned over 27 years in managing the investments of private clients, charitable funds, trusts and SIPPS. She started her career in 1993 with Albert E Sharp in Bristol and joined Rathbones (Neilson Cobbold) in Bristol in 1997, before relocating to their Tunbridge Wells office in 1998, and then opened the office for Charles Stanley in 2001. Katie is well regarded and known within the industry and investment community, and recently stepped down as President of the South East Branch for the CISI after 2 years and she was also Vice-President for the previous 4 years. She also takes time to support local charities and works closely with local agents and out of the office Katie enjoys spending time with family, particularly her partner and 2 daughters.

Prior to joining Alex has 23 years experience advising clients, most recently at Tilney ,where she advised high net worth clients including lottery winners. Alex specialises in investment advice along with IHT planning, she also advises clients who are going through a divorce using cash flow modelling, along with personal injury clients. She is a pension transfer specialist and provides advice on pre retirement and at retirement solutions

Nicholas Pritchard joined Charles Stanley in 2011 and works on the MAPS Team which manages over £1bn of assets on behalf of Institutional and Private Wealth clients. He holds a BA honours in Economics & Politics along with a Masters in Wealth Management. He formerly sat on the Equity Strategy Committee and also manages the Consistent Opportunities Unit Trust which focuses on under-covered Small and Mid-capitalisation companies.

Gareth began his career in investment management 1992, joining a local Bournemouth firm and promptly passing his Registered Representatives exam. In 1997 Gareth moved to London and joined a City firm of stockbrokers as an investment manager, managing discretionary and advisory portfolios for private clients, trusts and charities. With passes of the Compliance & Regulation and the Private Client Investment Advice & Management examinations Gareth become a Member of the Securities Institute in 2001, and has been a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment since 2013. The start of family life saw Gareth move back down to Dorset, joining Charles Stanley's Bournemouth office in 2007 where he continues to provide the whole suite of private client investment management services. Gareth lives in a village outside Wimborne with his wife and two children and enjoys cycling, sailing and walking the dog.
