Jon is the Branch Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment having started his career at Seal Arnold & Co in 1969. He became a member of the Stock Exchange in 1983 and worked as a dealer on the floor of the old Manchester Stock Exchange before joining Shaw & Co in 1991, which was subsequently taken over by Charles Stanley in 1997. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, Art (in particular Pre-Raphaelite), gardening and is a very keen supporter of Manchester City.

Don is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. He started his career in stockbroking in 1970 and became a Member of the Stock Exchange in 1978. He has a wide range of experiences in stockbroking having worked as an investment analyst, Head of Research plus corporate activities including flotations and takeovers. Originally from Liverpool he supports Liverpool FC and his interests include golf, music, wine and gastronomy.

Ian joined Charles Stanley over 10 years ago on work experience during University holidays. After achieving a first class degree in Economics and a Masters in Business Analysis and Finance, Ian then joined Charles Stanley full time. After a few years gaining a valuable insight into the back office, Ian is now a fully qualified Investment manager with added experience in areas such as traded options and spread betting. Ian can offer all stockbroking services and is looking to expand his own client base. Outside of the office, Ian's Interests include golf, hockey and football, as well as travelling and films.

Mark is a graduate of Keble College, Oxford University and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. His career in stockbroking and wealth management started in 1987 and he became a member of the Stock Exchange in 1991. Together with John Boothman he manages investments for private individuals, trusts, pensions (including SIPPs) and corporations. He works closely with other advisers to help ensure portfolios are not over-risked while striving to achieve client return objectives. Mark lives in Cheshire with his wife Sara and their two children. His interests outside work include golf, travelling and wine.

Now with 10 years working at Charles Stanley Richard is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and has over 17 years of experience in the industry. Richard offers traditional stockbroking services to private clients on an advisory basis and specialises in discretionary portfolio management for private clients, trusts, pensions and corporations. Outside of the office Richard has a keen interest in film having once help manage the oldest independent cinema in the country. He is also an enthusiastic musician, skier and annual golfer.

Gary is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and started his career as dealer at TD Waterhouse in 2000. In 2004 he joined Brown Shipley where he spent 2 years as an assistant to Paul Lawrence and in 2006 they both moved to Charles Stanley, together building a client base from scratch. Gary qualified as an Investment Manager in 2006 and gained personal Chartership in 2010 He specialises in discretionary portfolio management for private clients, trusts, pensions and corporations. Gary is married with three young daughters. In his limited spare time, he either practices Martial Arts, plays guitar or enjoys beating people half his age on the XBOX online.

Gideon started his career in 1987 at Battye Wimpenny & Dawson before moving down to London to work as a jobber on the Stock Exchange in the early 1990's. In 1993 he moved back up north, joining Brewin Dolphin and then subsequently Charles Stanley in 2000. In his spare time, Gideon plays cricket and football and is a keen supporter of Burnley FC.

Starting his career in 2000, Lee manages both High Net Worth clients and Intermediary relationships mainly in the North West. He specialises in discretionary investment management and is pushing forward the profile of Charles Stanley, especially with Financial Advisers in the North West. Lee has a number of industry recognised qualifications and is a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute. Outside of work Lee is a keen sportsman although he will tell you injuries stopped him turning professional in any. He also enjoys seeing new cities with Rome being a particular favourite alongside good food, drink and company.

Paul has been a stockbroker for 29 years and worked in Liverpool and Chester before moving to Manchester in 1998. During this time he qualified, learnt the trade, built up a client base and became an Investment Director and Team Leader for a national firm of brokers before joining Charles Stanley in 2006. He provides all stockbroking services for private clients, trusts, pensions, corporations and offshore funds but specialises in Discretionary investment management. He works in tandem with Gary Spencer (see separate profile) and welcomes the opportunity to meet new clients. Hobbies include walking in the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland; listening to all types of music and going to concerts; watching films; reading fiction, classic literature and textbooks on science, philosophy, psychology and history; attending international cricket at Old Trafford, Headingley and Trent Bridge and being an armchair supporter of football and rugby union. Paul is also a member of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
