Tom joined Charles Stanley in September 2022 as Head of Strategic Partnerships. Prior to joining, he worked at Quilter for 22 years where he held a number of roles, namely their BDM working with national advice businesses and networks, the Regional Sales Manager for the SE region and he also spent 4 years as their Head of Marketing. Tom is responsible for developing new strategic partnerships with financial adviser firms in the UK to help them deliver standout investment solutions to their clients.

James Rae

James Rae

Head of Inheritance Tax

James is the head of the AIM Inheritance Tax Team and has extensive experience with managing AIM portfolios. Prior to joining Charles Stanley, James worked with Charlotte Square Investment Managers in Edinburgh, where he was the lead manager of the AIM Inheritance Tax Service. During his time there, James had one of the best AIM track records in the industry and oversaw a period of very strong inflows.

Alison Caulfield

Alison Caulfield

Tax Adviser at Phillip Hare & Associates LLP

Alison is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Alison trained with Deloitte from 1993 moving to PwC in 1997, initially in accounts and audit, then specialising in tax. She qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1999. During her time at PwC, Alison was a member of the Private Client Team advising High Net Worth individuals in all areas of tax, predominantly capital gains tax and IHT for UK resident and domiciled individuals. Alison has advised on EIS matters since 2000. For three years Alison worked for a single family office managing all aspects of tax, accounting and investments, before moving back into practice initially on a self-employed basis in March 2016.
