The ceremony, which took place on Tuesday 8 March, invited guests to celebrate the wealth managers and individuals responsible for delivering the highest quality of services to their clients. Nominees are entered into a multitude of categories based on votes from investors and wealth management clients. A public vote, overseen by a panel of judges, determines which providers dominate the industry.
Charles Stanley was recognised as ‘Best ISA Provider’ and John Davies, Head of Business Solutions, won the Mudlark Award for ‘Exceptional Performance in the Back Office.’ The award was announced by Clay Harris, the former FT journalists who wrote the Mudlark column for many years and championed the efforts of those behind the scenes.
Commenting on the wins, Charles Stanley CEO Paul Abberley said: “We are extremely pleased to have been recognised as the top provider for ISAs, which play an important part in helping our clients invest in a tax-efficient way to achieve their longer-term goals and secure their financial futures. Moreover, I am delighted that John Davies has received deserved recognition of his excellent work through the Mudlark Award. John is an exceptional talent and a true asset to our firm.”
Mudlark Award winner John Davies added: “I feel honoured to have received this award and am extremely grateful to COLWMA for continuing to champion the work of the “back-office” as critical to the success of wealth management firms.”
