The challenge sees the Atlantic Nomads row unaided over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean. Travelling west, the team is racing from San Sebastian in La Gomera, the Canary Islands to Nelsons Dockyard English Harbour, Antigua, and Barbuda. Their journey began on 13 December 2021, competing against teams from across the world.
By undertaking this extraordinary challenge, the Atlantic Nomads hope to raise vital funds for Alabaré’s Homes for Veterans, a charity who provide supported accommodation to British Armed Forces Veterans who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. Tom Rose, James Woolley, and Taylor Winyard are battling physical extremes, rowing two hours on and two hours off, day and night, to tackle the relentless challenges of the ocean and raise £40k for their cause.
We are incredibly proud to sponsor the Atlantic Nomads as they take on this arduous challenge. It is no mean feat, but their hard work will raise vital funds for the Alabaré’s Homes for Veterans charity and has highlighted the need to support service men and women who have served their country but since faced hardship. I am wishing the team the best of luck with their journey.
