An incredible seven women from Charles Stanley have secured nine finalist spots across five categories at this year’s Women in Financial Advice awards. The awards, run by Professional Adviser & Retirement Planner, celebrate the achievements of women working within the financial advice community and also the financial services sectors that work to provide solutions for their clients.
Traditionally under-represented in the sector, the awards seek to highlight the achievements of women already in financial advice or the wider financial services world, as well as recognising individuals of either gender who help to maximise the potential of women or are striving to bring about a more appropriate gender balance.
The finalists are as follows:
Role Model of the Year (Large firms)
- Charlotte Lambeth, Director of Private Clients, Exeter
- Jane Bransgrove, Director of Asset Management, London
- Rebecca Stein, Investment Manager, Oxford
Team Leader of the Year
- Laura Slater, Head of Paraplanning – North, Birmingham
Woman of the Year – ESG

Paul Abberley, Chief Executive
Commenting on the awards, CEO Paul Abberley said “I am extremely proud that seven exceptional women are finalists in the 2021 Women in Financial Advice Awards. The fact that there are representatives from Charles Stanley across multiple categories is a reflection of the breadth of talent we have across our firm and a testament to the dedication and hard work of the individual finalists. The power of these awards is two-fold, it recognises the contribution of those nominated, and also provides inspiration to other women who may be considering a career in financial services.”
