Charles Stanley expands intermediary sales team with new hires

Charles Stanley has appointed three new members of staff – Marie Lawrence, Sean Osborne and Matthew Honour - to its Intermediary Sales Team in a move that demonstrates its commitment to its regional IFA network.

Sean Osborne has been appointed as Head of National Accounts from Suffolk Life where he was Head of Sales, with responsibility for UK intermediary sales and was a member of the Executive Committee. He is experienced in building, developing and managing sales teams, and having defined and delivered the sales strategy he significantly improved sales volumes. He is a SIPP market expert and has strong knowledge of the platform and investment management arenas.

Marie Lawrence joins as Intermediary Sales Manager and will focus on growing Charles Stanley’s discretionary investment business in the Thames Valley, establishing new connections in the IFA community, as well as supporting existing ones. She joins from Prudential where she was responsible for maximising sales from advisers through pension and investment sales, including running workshops to help advisers grow their business. She possesses extensive experience in sales and business development having worked in the industry for over 24 years’ for organisations including GE Life, Abbey National, Winterthur and Aegon.

Matthew Honour has also assumed the role of Asset Management Specialist to grow the Managed Portfolio Services in the South. He has amassed over 22 years’ experience across the financial services industry working for companies including AXA Life Invest, MetLife Europe and Aegon. He joins from Morningstar Investment Management Europe where he was Business Development Manager, South West and Wales.
