The FTSE 100 rose 1% over the week by mid-session on Friday, despite a negative week for high street retailers. A profit warning from DFS and gloomy retail sales data hit the sector, but a first-quarter update from Tesco pleased the City. 

FTSE reshuffle

The latest changes from index-compiler FTSE Russell take effect from Monday June 19. G4S and Segro will be added to the FTSE 100 index, with Hikma Pharmaceuticals and Intu Properties relegated to the FTSE 250.
