Glasgow Office

The Charles Stanley Glasgow office is headed up by Kris Barclay, an Investment Manager who has moved across from our Edinburgh office, where he has worked for nearly six years.  He is joined by Hercules Michail, Investment Manager Assistant, also previously from the Edinburgh office to provide a better presence in the local area.

They offer a comprehensive service, looking after private clients, financial advisers, trustees of charities, solicitors, accountants and corporate clients. They manage investment portfolios including ISAs, SIPPs and other pensions as well as offering traditional investment management services.

Our offices are conveniently located and we are always happy to welcome clients and potential clients to call in and see us.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Charles Stanley Glasgow office soon.

More about Kris

Kris is delighted to be leading the Glasgow branch. With more than 20 years in the investment industry, he has watched it develop and change. Kris is keen to retain the attention to detail and personalised service we have always had as a firm, but evolve the investment strategy as wealth management becomes more sophisticated. He and his team have managed many different types of mandates including general investment accounts with personal tax considerations, Self Invested Personal Pensions and Charitable portfolios with specific income requirements to corporate accounts for small businesses with excess cash on the balance sheet. Kris is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and is well qualified, having done additional academia beyond the requisite S.I. Diploma examinations. He believes in staying sharp and well tested. He claims it is a privilege to have managed client monies throughout tumultuous periods such as the dot.com bubble bursting causing a sustained bear market, and the banking crisis of 2008. Whilst hardly desired or much fun, it does build awareness which is pertinent since market corrections are inevitable over time. Kris has two young children and many of his sporting pastimes have been put on hold [indefinitely!] to ensure a good balance between work and family. Until recently Kris was vice-chair on the board of a small children's charity.
