Andy is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. After graduating from UCW Aberystwyth, in 1986, with an honours degree in Pure Maths he joined his father's small stockbroking partnership in Huddersfield - Robert Ramsden & Co. He began work in the back office until passing his dealing exams in 1987 before going on to complete his Securities Industry Diploma and, later on, the CII Advanced Financial Planning Certificate. Andy moved to the Cardiff office of Capel-Cure Myers in June 1995. He is an experienced manager of portfolios for private clients, trusts, pensions, corporates, charities and offshore bonds and is a Chartered Member of the CISI. He is married with three teenage children and enjoys reading, music and sports.

After leaving school with A Levels in Economics and Law, Gail joined Eversheds Solicitors as a legal clerk. In 1992 she joined Allied Provincial Securities as a secretary to the office head. Hungry to become a stockbroker, she completed the full Securities Industry Diploma and is now a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, as well as a judge for the Cardiff Life Business awards. Gail has 22 years experience of working in the financial sector and has built up a portfolio of private clients, specialising in discretionary portfolio management including pensions, trusts, offshore bonds and corporates. Keen for clients to gain a better understanding of the industry, she constructed evening courses for the private client entitled - "A beginners guide to the stock market". A regular speaker on the radio and successful columnist in the regional press. She is married and a mum. A black belt in karate and teaches a weekly children's class. Gary is a Politics graduate of Cardiff University and prior to co-launching the Cardiff Charles Stanley office, Gary was the Institutional Investment Specialist for Wales and the West within Barclays Wealth (formerly Gerrard) from 2007. He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute following completion of the full Securities Institute Diploma. Gary manages varying sizes of gross and tax exempt funds to specific mandates, risk profiles and income requirements, often within strict ethical screening criteria. Gary was a voting member of both the Charity Investment Committee and the Overseas Collective Investment Fund within Barclays Wealth and is also an accomplished public speaker on the subject of Ethical Screening and its impact on investment portfolios. Gary is married, has one child and lives in Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan. Gary is a former Under 18 and Under 21 Rugby international and now coaches at his local club, Penarth RFC. He enjoys endurance sports and recently completed the Ironman in Pembrokeshire (which took a mere 16 hours and 34 minutes!).

Richard is an Investment Manager in the Cardiff office and looks after portfolios for private clients, pension funds, and Trusts. Richard graduated from Oxford University in 2002 and has been working in the financial services industry since 2003. He completed his Securities and Investment Diploma whilst working for Gerrard Investment Management Ltd and subsequently worked for Barclays Wealth before opening the Charles Stanley Cardiff Office with his colleagues. Richard is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) Wales Branch committee. He shares responsibility for organising local events for its members in Wales to discuss the latest developments in the financial services industry. Richard lives in Penarth with his wife and two young daughters and has a passion for most sports including golf, which he plays in his spare time, and sits on the governing board of his local nursery school.

After studying Business Studies, Sarah began work as a partner’s assistant in an old established Cardiff stockbroking firm in the 1980’s. As a result of takeovers, she worked for several stockbroking firms including latterly Gerrard Investment Management/Barclays Wealth. Sarah has been in the investment management industry for just under thirty years, and has developed a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the administration side of the business - in particular she spent many years concentrating on providing a probate service for both solicitors and private clients. Sarah joined the Cardiff office of Charles Stanley on 1st September 2014 to run the office administration and supports all the investment management and intermediary teams.

Darrell joined the Charles Stanley Intermediary Sales team in March 2016. Prior to that Darrell worked at a number of high profile companies including most recently with MetLife where he spent four years as a Business Development Manager covering Gloucestershire, Wiltshire & Herefordshire as well as a number of key national accounts. Other companies represented include Towry Law, Friends Provident, Eagle Star/Zurich. Darrell’s role at MetLife was widespread, dealing in all areas of pensions and investments as well as shaping IFA businesses and providing technical support. Darrell's role within Charles Stanley is to focus on the development of Financial Adviser business across Oxford, Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire & South Wales working closely with the Investment Managers in the Oxford, Cardiff, Bath & Cirencester offices. Outside of work Darrell is married to Lyn with adult children Kelly and Russell. Darrell enjoys all sports especially golf, rugby, cricket and walking his German Shepherd “Seve” (see the golf link). Darrell has successfully completed the “3 Peaks Challenge Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike & Snowdon in 24 Hours” and Cheltenham Rotary Club “Cheltenham Circular Walk 26 miles”.
