Ease of Administration


You will have a dedicated contact within our firm, who will also be responsible for the management of your client portfolios and the execution of your instructions.

Efficiency of administration
The efficient administration of client portfolios and investments is critical to the overall quality of the service received, both by you and your clients. We can handle all rights issues, capital reorganisations and offers. We can also collect dividend and interest income, either reinvesting it on the client's behalf, or paying it out. We do not outsource the administration of client portfolios and investments to third parties but manage the process ourselves.

Fee sharing
Professional advisers can receive fees on an ongoing basis for business introduced. We would be pleased to discuss this with you further.

Probate Valuation Service
We understand the difficulties that can arise from incomplete paperwork leading to inaccurate valuations and delays to the administration of an Estate. By checking holdings with the appropriate registrar and then valuing the holdings, whilst
reporting the details of any changes, we are able to overcome these problems, providing a fast and accurate probate valuation, either from a list of stock or from the original share certificates.

Reporting
You can let Charles Stanley take responsibility for regulatory reporting and the provision of client reports in the form of contract notes, account statements and portfolio valuations, as appropriate. You may review client portfolios at any time, by accessing them through our secure website. At the end of each financial year we will provide a Consolidated Tax Voucher.

We are flexible enough to adapt to your requirements, offering a wide range of possibilities for the efficient management of client holdings. There are three ways in which you can hold client investments: in Charles Stanley's Nominee Account, in CREST Personal Membership or in the form of paper share certificates.

 

Looking after investment cash
The Charles Stanley Cash Management Service is a facility for clients to hold investment cash with us. This service makes it more efficient for income and sale proceeds to be credited to clients and to settle purchase trades. Client money is kept in a segregated account, where there are no minimum balance requirements and no withdrawal penalties. Interest at our published rates is paid on daily cash balances and distributed gross twice yearly, in April and October. We manage the flow of cash in a fast and efficien manner,ensuring that it does not miss an opportunity to work for clients.

Security of client assets
Charles Stanley, as a company authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, is acutely aware of the need to safeguard clients' financial interests. First, your clients' assets are carefully segregated and ring-fenced from the assets of the firm. Secondly, we carry substantial insurance that provides cover for loss through events such as theft, fire, fraud or negligence. Finally, as a client of an authorised firm, your clients' investments are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
